Ships

Over 400 ships were built at the maritime heritage site of Chatham Historic Dockyard including HMS Victory, Nelson’s flagship at Trafalgar. HMS Victory now resides in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, from where it sailed to do battle in 1805, along with the remains of the Mary Rose, Henry VIII’s flagship that was raised from the seabed of the Solent in 1982
