On 1 March 2002, the Scenic Railway roller coaster at Dreamland became a listed building, the first time an amusement park ride has been given heritage status. It’s the oldest operating roller coaster in the country
Arts Council Policy: Children and Young People
The Arts Counci's actions are to:
- Work with regional and local children's services to implement the Children, young people and the arts strategy in each region
- Create pathways to education, training and employment through creativity via programmes with the Youth Justice Board and others
- Continue to develop and embed the Creative Partnerships programme, and secure its future
