English Heritage's role is to look after all aspects of England's historic environment. We:
- Conserve and enhance the historic environment
- Broaden public access to heritage
- Increase people's understanding of the past
As set out in our strategy for 2005-2010, Making the Past Part of our Future, we aim to create a cycle of understanding, valuing, caring and enjoying.
