If you like to develop and accredit a culturally based qualification, we hope the information below will help you:
Only awarding bodies that are recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) can submit qualifications for accreditation. An awarding body is an organisation that develops and certificates qualifications for training providers to offer. Only awarding bodies that are recognised by the QCQ can submit qualifications for accreditation.
Awarding Body Directory
You can search for awarding bodies that offer qualifications in your particular area. Contact details for QCA awarding bodies can be found through the National Database of Accredited Qualifications www.ndaq.org.uk
Each awarding body has its own set of criteria, which fit into current National Occupational Standards and National Qualifications Framework)
Each application is then assessed by the awarding body, if it complies with its criteria they will forward it to the QCA. QCA have helped developed the National Qualifications Framework, curricula and associated tests and examinations and to develop the essential criteria with which the Awarding Bodies must comply
