The following examples of indicators for providing decent and affordable housing have been taken from Sustainable Community Strategies up to the end of 2007 and round 1-3 Local Area Agreements:

• The percentage of residents that find it easy to access cultural, play and sports facilities e.g. theatre, cinema, swimming pool.
  
• Percentage of the population that are within 20 minutes travel time (urban - walking; rural - driving) of a range of 3 different sports or cultural facility types, at least one of which has achieved a quality mark.
• The number of educational establishments with cultural and/or sports facilities available for community use.
• The percentage of young people/adults that are satisfied or very satisfied with cultural, play and/or sports provision in their local area.
