The following examples of indicators for improving travel and transport have been taken from Sustainable Community Strategies up to the end of 2007 and round 1-3 Local Area Agreements:

• The percentage of 5 to 16 year olds who travel to school using sustainable modes of transport, including ‘active transport’ (cycling, walking etc.).
• Percentage of pupils completing cycling safety courses
