The following examples of indicators for the economy and employment have been taken from Sustainable Community Strategies up to the end of 2007 and round 1-3 Local Area Agreements:

• Number of new employment opportunities in the creative industries, play, culture, sport and tourism.
• Number of employees in the cultural and sports sector (in priority areas).
• Economic impact of the cultural sector/creative industries.
• Value of staying/day visitors and tourists.
• Financial turnover of creative industries.
• Number of creative businesses supported.
• The percentage of employers and employees who adopt and promote physical activities programmes in the workplace or undertake healthy activities in the workplace as measured through employer programmes.
• Amount of Brownfield land developed for leisure and community facilities.
• The completion of key cultural infrastructure projects.
• Number of businesses engaged by Olympic 2012 Business Support
