The following examples of indicators for the environment have been taken from Sustainable Community Strategies up to the end of 2007 and round 1-3 Local Area Agreements:

• Amount of waste landfilled from specified Council facilities including libraries and leisure centres.
• The number/percentage of local authority parks obtaining a Green Flag award.
