Living Place - action plan launched

Living Places – action plan launched

On 29 November Living Places, a powerful new partnership of cultural bodies and Government departments, launched an eight point action plan to bring the benefits of culture and sport to communities. The alliance of public bodies are the national cultural agencies, the regional cultural consortiums, CLG and DCMS.

Living Places is about helping to create thriving, vibrant communities through culture and sport. It has three objectives: to provide those people who are shaping communities with information, advice and support on the use of culture and sport to create better places; to align investment from the sporting and cultural sector with sustainable communities funding across organisational boundaries so it works harder for people; to empower communities to make cultural and sporting activity and infrastructure a part of their lives.

The Living Places eight point action plan is contained within the prospectus, available to download at http://www.sportengland.org/lpp_final.pdf
