The Funder Finder provides free downloads of software on writing effective funding applications and planning effective budgets. There is also a comprehensive advice pack supplying general funding information and more detailed advice and information on individual schemes such as the local heritage initiative and Community Champions fund.

Awards For All

Awards for All England is supported by the Arts Council England, the Big Lottery Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England.

They award grants of between 300 and 10,000 for people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community

Big Lottery Fund is responsible for giving out half the money for good causes raised by the National Lottery, giving them a budget of about 630 million a year. Their funding covers health, education, environment and charitable purposes

The Heritage Lottery Fund (www.hlf.org.uk)

The Heritage Lottery Fund distributes money raised by the national lottery to support all aspects of heritage in the UK, from historic buildings and museums to archives, nature conservation and oral history. The HLF gives grants to support a wide range of projects involving the local, regional and national heritage of the United Kingdom, providing both capital grants (for buildings and equipment) and time-limited activity grants
