Help with Local Area Agreements

If you'd like help in developing culture within your LAA in order to deliver local outcomes, representatives of the cultural agencies are here to assist you. We hope the information below might help.It's intended to briefly highlight the positive role that Sport, the Arts and Museums, Libraries and Archives can play and refer you to key guidance documents, baseline data and example outcomes and measures.

Sport and Physical Activity
Sport England, the County Sport Partnership and Community Sport Networks are able to offer support to local government in the development of LAAs and in working to deliver the outcomes within them. Useful guidance can be found in Sport playing Its Part in LAAs at:

Museums, Libraries and Heritage
The museum, library and archive sector is uniquely placed to help deliver outcomes for local communities. Public libraries are at the heart of almost every urban and rural neighbourhood and the sectors institutions are trusted public spaces, used by people that other services find hard to reach.
