Tourism South East is a partnership of private enterprise and both local and regional government with over 2000 commercial and 70 local authority members. As the regional agency for tourism in the region, its aim is to support and assist a competitive, growing, profitable and sustainable tourism industry in the south east. Its principal public funder is the South East England Development Agency.
The mission of the agency is to create the conditions for tourism in the region to allow it to develop and grow by providing high quality support to its members, leading regional marketing campaigns, encouraging the highest levels of skills and customer service, supporting regeneration projects and setting up strategic partnership projects of all kinds.
Tourism is recognised as one of the principal economic drivers in the south east and, as such, Tourism South East has a leading role in representing the industrys interests, raising awareness of the economic and social significant of tourism and encouraging a supportive political and policy climate.
